June's Journey: Update

Update

This is not an update we were hoping to write. We were so excited to have June home and celebrate Christmas as a family of four. Unfortunately, June was admitted today to the Children's Hospital in Peoria because of some complications. We are hoping (as are her doctors) that we will be home by Christmas. We will write more of an update when we actually know her prognosis.

Hello!

June's medical treatment has become overwhelming. We have a lot of people thinking and praying for as well as asking about our little girl, so I thought this would be the easiest way to share our journey with June. My hope is that in time, whether it be weeks, months or years, I won't need to write posts, but as we are quickly finding out, you just never know with June. We have also met a lot of very special people along the way who are invested in June's care, so who knows? Maybe I will continue to write and post pictures for them :) (Although I was never very good at committing to a journal so no promises here either :))

From the time we found out we were pregnant, June's journey has been one for the medical books. I should have started this sooner, but things have snowballed quickly, and just when it seems like everyone has a handle on what's going on with June, she throws us a curve ball. I also didn't want to post about what was going on until we had a definite understanding as to what exactly was happening with June.

We truly appreciate all the thoughts and prayers. Thank you for the texts, calls and check ins, but also, thank you for those who have given us space and just sent prayers. We appreciate both as well as your understanding when our response isn't immediate.
